Release Date Announcement is Near
I expect a release date for the Sidekick to be announced soon. It's June as far as I am told and I have had more than one T-Mobile Bothan spy tell me it's actually June 26th (Many Bothans died to deliver that information.) Why June 26th? I don't know, but it's all we have to cling to right now. Any ideas? Discuss!

my sister works at t-mobile, she confirmed the release date with me, she made me promise not to tell anyone......yeah fat chance of keeping that info under wraps

If you actually look at the FCC web site you'll see that they are keeping many of the "good" bits about the SK3 confidential until 06/06/2006. (06/06/06????) The SK3 is the number of the beast?!?!
This includes the USERS manual. So early adoption may begin in May but likely wide availability will be late to mid June as already stated here.
Keep in mind -- Sharp/Danger/T-Mobile don't want to hold this any longer than they have to especially given the apparent demand for a new and improved device. With FCC approval granted, mass production can begin in earnest.
May/June seems not only likely, but probable.

Obviously SK2 users would get first dibs on the 3rd. So all this information sounds right.
Any chance that email won't be a walled garden? Biggest reason I abandoned it is the need to integrate with my other pop3 emails.
Also, I live and breathe Skype these days. Any word on whether the underlying OS is Linux, Symbian or WinMobile so it wlil run Skype?

Yah man, i cant wait for the SK3. My friend, An LA laker, Kobe Bryant did a personal favor for me by calling some people, who called some people, who got me an early prototype of the SK3. It was fake, and just a piece of plastic, and was a model of the SK1. I got so mad. We started fighting, and i got mad at him, and decided to give away all of his personal info. His phone # is not an LA number, but a DALLAS area code for privacy matters.

Something you guys may be interested in. I work for Telstra in Australia - we were on the verge of launching the HipTop II here on the 26th of May (Danger seems to like that date). This has however been delayed due to regulatory issues with the Aus. Federal Police.
Anyway, the fact is we had a training session conducted by a rep from Danger in Palo Alto CA. He informed us to watch out for a 3G device around Christmas 2006, whether he was referring to the Australian release of such a product is unknown, but it would tie in with a May US release - we always seem about 8-12 months behind the rest of the world here Down Under.

All I can say is we receive the sk3 June 1st. Whether or not they go on sale that day I don't know. We had the T509 for 2 weeks before we sold it. Same with the color Pebl it'll be sitting for 1-2 weeks before we sell them. Stop reading false info about the sk3 everywhere else. Whoever runs this blog has the most true evidence. We have atleast 3 PDF's I'm surprised other employees haven't leaked those already. Point in case, expect it in June. Also I haven't been informed about any sk2 trade or anything. You can either take my word or listen to the other ignorant people who know nothing.
Also one other thing. Stop believing the pre-order BS! How do you expect an authorized dealer to have phones faster than us at a corporate store? These people just want your money they can't pre-order anything! That is not how it works. No rep "holds" phones. We have a separate system for ordering our phones which takes even longer.

the menu picture in the supposedly market release image is the same dam menu image in the first leaked picture of the sidekick 3, it has the white girl and the black guy and everything and their wearing the same cloths, so thats not a fake image to all non believers....

we have no clue, but the sidekick 3 is coming..and no one can't say it isn't because everything matches up! Look at the fcc label on the sk 3 and then look at the label for the sk3 at the fcc site...it all adds up, just everything, the menu picture is the same in 2 of the sk3 images...the sidekick has always made a summer appearance...

Does a miniSD come shipped with it? Will all my old tones games an apps work on it or will I have to buy new ones? Wut exactly are the differences from the sk2 OS wise? Will I be able to d/l music from email? Will the mini usb have a purpose this time around? Can I watch videos on it an play music (even tho I have an ipod so that's useless to me lol)? Will I be able to hold more that 36 stinkin pics in the photo section? Will it be able to hold more than 50 stinkin notes (I write raps so that comes in handy)? Answer them in the same order I asked if possible homie...I don't know if anyone asked this stuff already so keep it friendly if they did aight 1

Let me start by truthfully saying that my second cousin is an employee to a main branch t-Mobile store. My birthday is May 28, so I requested a Sidekick 2. Most of you probably already know that the Sidekick 2 is discontinued, and you can only purchase it online. Well, I didn't really want to do that. He told me wait until JUNE 1 and you can get a Sidekick 3. So I thought, hey, how convenient, and that's exactly what I'm doing. Many people might be right, maybe it comes in June 1, but doesn't get sold. Whichever way, I'm getting mine June 1.
it is actually June 28th it will be available exclusively for Tmobile current customers
