Image on Marketing Pic Not Showing New Operating System
It dawned on me this morning that the image of the Sidekick 3 below, the "marketing shot" is not actually showing the latest version of the operating system. It is instead showing the OLD operating system. The new one has a much darker color, a grey hue and different icons on the front with a different logo...and don't forget the mini-menus within each icon. Just wanted to point out this inconsistency with that hardware shot and what will eventually show up on the UI.

how do you know they didnt change it sence you have seen it and maybe this is the new os?
Because there would be no reason to develop an entirely new look and feel and functionality of an operating system only to say, "nahhh, lets just use the one that is 3 years old."

Um what about the wallpaper? Please if sk3 had new the wallpaper background. Cuz tmobile/danger sk3 didn't say about "wallpaper background". I hate this layout design that's why layout design never change a different the wallpaper. Same, same, same... It's make me boring come on it's change wallpaper make me fun!. Do something!!! I want see to the wallpaper background picture/ animated right now. See ya

hey when it comes out will it have UMA, or should I wait for that one. Same with video, will the first SK3 have all the later functionality?
Everybody keeps saying the background needs to be customizable. It's not gonna happen. The background is the OS. Even through our reports of the sk3 they dont show a background either. It's just images of it off and open etc.

i dont see why you would think that it would be a different operating system if the marketing picture and the "leaked" photo have the same girl

I dont understand why the sidekick 3 wont be able to record videos. It seems like the Sidekick 3 is going to be all other phones because more and more phones are able to record. I mean for a phone thats going to come out in maybe a month or so, you know how long we would have to wait for the sidekick 4? that one is most likely going to have video recording. im just saying what the hell is stopping them from having the video recorder now?

this is the real deal, the sidekick 3 is coming out you guys, on the real, no bs...I can feel it in the air..like god is trying to tell me something and I just know its coming and danger and them are all being real low-key about this, and i don't care either, all i wan't to be able to do is pre-order this baby..

And video recording capability is determined by the read/write speed of a cameras memory chip, so i think it is likely that the sk3 (a small brick of a smartphone) will support video recording/viewing

I really don't care about the video capability...I just wan't to use all the new features and also have a new phone..
Is it true that sidekick 2 owners will be offered a rebate if they buy sk3?
Also, will it be possible to watch video clips over the internet on sk3?
damm watching videos would be cool if you could do that on the browser.they should at least have that as a new feature. I cant freaking wait i need a new phone now though. It better be worth the wait.
Sidekick owners do not get a deal. As far as the comment to the background image not being the OS you are wrong. It does NOT support video. It comes with 64mb mini sd. That being said it runs on miniSD.
as long as I get to listen to music i'm cool..but what if someone calls you does the music just go off? lol..I wonder how it is all going to work out I guess will have to wait and see...
I'm not sure how the player actually works. Like I said I just read the pdf's and the excel files.
