New Sidekick 3 Details and Pics Coming in 14 Days
A spy I will call "The Raven" has informed me the Internet will see new leaked photos and information on the Sidekick 3 in the next two weeks. Why two weeks? "because prototypes are being more widely disseminated now and the unit is being shown around the globe and marketing materials are being put together for a June launch and details are sure to leak out..."
So there you have it. Lets keep an eye out over the next 2 weeks for some updated launch information and maybe some pics of the operating system and new functionality. I will start the 14 day countdown now. Ready, GO! [13 days, 23 hours, 58 minutes]....

Too bad "The Raven" was fired today, and everyone involved was sued. Rumor has it they are going to be arrested for industrial espionage.
Forget "the raven" that whole story sounds made up to me. If anything It'll be announced june 26th. No chance of having one by then I bet. You don't see Jordan/nike/jumpman randomly announcing when he's coming out w/ jordans RIGHT b4 it comes out. You don't see artists anouncing album release dates a month or 2 b4 they come out do you? Come up w/ a better alias than "the raven" especially if you want people to believe any of this.
Over a month ago, this blog said we would shortly be seeing a new high res pic of the Sidekick 3. Shortly after, it shows up. Until this blog makes a claim that doesn't occur, I will remain a believer.

So Im a first time poster who just cant take the hypocrits any more. Everyone (including myself) comes here salivating on news/pics of the SK 3, yet, the moment you hear something that you dont like or doesnt cooperate with your ideas/needs you bite the hand that fed you. Shame on you! To the person who said the "Raven" story sounds made up: it being far-fetched or too good to be true is not the same as it being made up. Nor does it mean its not credible. What would its authors purpose be in lying? Everyone (including the few other web sources that are reporting on the SK 3) know that this place is the place to be for info. If you dont like it, go somewhere else, or at least dont post inane comments.
I support BSD. . . no idea where s/he gets the info but so far it has been accurate (not always precise, but accurate.)
Given the sequence of recent events, it is not out of the question to believe more marketing info is on the way.
I'm still waiting for the "Current sidekick owners" upgrade email. :-)

Why dont people get it. The sidekick is a T-Mobile Brand Phone. Unless your with a gsm company meaning cingular or at&t they may use a sidekick if unlocked but no data feature. Sprint cannot not use because there not gsm so let it go. If you tired of a treo them move to a company with a gsm network.

You're not getting an upgrade just because you own the sidekick 2 this time. It's $350 with a 1 year which comes with a $50 mail in and $300 with a 2 year which comes with a $50 mail in also. There was no word of a special offer to 2 owners in anything out of the like 20 folders of info.

If I wanted the functionality of a treo I'd get one, but there's a really odd appeal about the sidekick3. Im on t-mobile with the slider, but when I saw pictures of it on engadget. Later that day I started getting really hyped up. I REALLY want it now, and pictures, progs and everythin! my only concern is if it will be able to watch movies, and flash online, and other simple webish things that the sk2 can'. I come to this site, and love the see a new post. more pictures sooner would be sweet too.

I like the way the SK3 looks it is very sleek, not sexy, cause their are some sexy looking phones, but it's more sleek and I like the qwerty keyboard on the SK3 cause on the SK2 my keys are all screwed up, and my Sk2 is falling apart anyways and it's my third one..so I really need to get the sk3 right now and it better be in my hands by the summertime.

Come on people. You're listening to the same folks who said it would be out last November, then by Christmas, then April 4th, etc, etc.
Mark my words, if it doesn't come out in 2-3 weeks there will be a bunch of people whining about it being delayed (when it wasn't as there hasn't been any official release date announced) and then this blogger will make up some excuse or reason for it not to be out yet and give some other date... You know what? Sooner or later he'll FINALLY be right. /ANYONE/ can repeat the same vauge (and the most obvious/likely) specs and either get it mostly right or give some excuse such as "they changed/updated it since I saw the prototype" if they turn out to be wrong. It's no different than reading your horoscope, people. It won't matter what the truth ends up being, if you do what I jsut said, you can still claim to have been "right" and you'll probably have a lot of folks believing you, too. Ahwell...
p.s. As for pre-paid- well apart from thge OBVIOUS statement that no one knows (and it's likely that any details of which haven't even been figured out yet, who knows), but considering the sidekick 2 does this, I can't see them discoontinuing the same practice for the sidekick 3.
p.p.s. As for stores being out of stock. The same exact thing has been happening since the SK2 was released at various times. For at least the last 6 months or so every time it does there are stories of such and such a t-mobile rep claiming the reason is the SK2 is being discontinued. There's absolutely no reason to think this is any different at this point apart from lots of wishful thinking.
You know why you people get mad? Because there are people saying 2-3 weeks now whereas the owner of the blog specifically stated June 26th. How in any way is that 2-3 weeks? Stop trying to sound all sophisticated. My regional manager came in the store today and told a girl who wanted to get a new sk2 to wait because the sk3 is going to be here. Why would a regional manager lie? Get over it it's coming out in June. By the time you get off your horse and admit that there is some real info in this blog it'll be too late because other people will have bought them all up.
