Sidekick Sample Model for Cingular? Say It Isn't So!
A spy report came in tonight. This spy says the picture to the right is a Sidekick 3 sample model for Cingular. They didn't say whether or not Cingular had made a decision to carry it, only that it was being reviewed for their network. I don't believe it, but I thought I would put it up here in case anyone could prove that it was indeed a Cingular test Sidekick 3 or confirm that the Hiptop platform was never going to stray from T-Mobile.

What is the differance if it goes to cingular or not at least it's not being taken away from t-mobile so calm down.....I really hope it comes to cingular because I was going to switch to t-mobile just for the sk3 so if it goes to cingular then everyone wins!

If a popular PDA phone like the Hiptop made it to two major carriers, the prices would go down for competitive purposes. Quit being a fanboy and look at the advantages of two carriers having the same device! Don't like Cingular? Stay with T Mobile then!
^^^ I agree. Also to the first poster, it clearly says Hiptop at the top and not Sidekick. It does also sport a Cingular organge X logo... cool colours to.
anybody who has a mac knows thats a photoshop pic. basically if you look at a regular sk3 on a mac and press ctrl alt apple 8 it look like the one in the pic. if you look at the fake "cingular" sk3 and do ctrl alt apple 8, youll see it looks like a regular sk3. so there you have it, its FAKE
i highly doubt that t-mobile would let the sidekick (hiptop) get away from them. if they did, its good and bad news for sidekick customers. the sidekick will be MUCH less exclusive such as the razr, but we could also see a price drop (which is still highly unlikely)
Used to be relevant, now it's really not.
Both have EDGE and Cingular's data costs more.
No big difference except for extreme rural coverage, and I understand T-Mobile has improved on that count with roaming agreements.
There was a time when I would have found that exciting, but now, not so much.
That would suck, I hate other people on other networks, "oh well the tv says they have the lowest dropped calls, even though its the same service as another provider. Oh well!" Come to the t bitches.

the d-pad in the pic looks like the one thats on the sidekick 2 not the updated one the sidekick 3.....i'm gonna call bs on this on.....

That is cleary a sidekick 2 with printed out peices of paper from online taped or glued on top you can tell that becasue the d pad is still from the sidekick 2 and the thumb is "convinentlly" covering the area where they couldent replecate the trackball come on guys this stuff is obvious
there is no way tmobile would let cingular do that. think business..and how much money they would lose if that really happened..
They are not aloud to, danger has a contract with tmobile, they are not aloud to break it without a law suit.
i would love it to be on cingular, cuase t-mobile has the most crappiest network out there. thats why its cheap, you get what u pay for.

Also I don't think that TMO would let there prize possession that made the company go to they worst enemy! and even if it does go to cingular I think that people would still go to TMO cause cingular would also more than likely charge more for the phone. and far as TMO service I have never had a problem with them and I have never dropped a call! plus I have been with them for 4 and a half years and have not dropped not ! call!

you know what theirs no diffrence in service cuz tmob and cing have roamin agreements duh god ppl can b idoits
I don't really care about the deals because my dad pays for the cell phone bills, and because of that, he signed a contract with Cingular for two more years, but I'm obsessed with the sidekick so if it came to Cingular, then I could get it.....ahhhh that would exciting!
