Beyonce IS Part of the Sidekick 3 Launch
BSD Strikes Back! It looks like Beyonce IS part of the promo launch of the Sidekick 3 via Hiptunes and hmmm does she look fine. I have to say, I always thought she was the hottest girl in Destiny's Child, for me personally it wasn't even a contest. But when she went solo, I had my doubts but I said "if she just shakes that booty in every music video, she will go to the top of the charts." She eventually listened and she has taken that booty to 9 Grammy awards. I just wish she would stop calling me in the middle of the night and singing "Baby Boy."

Hey, I know this doesn't have anything to do with this post, but I have been tracking the T-Mobile upgrades lately.
I have a full upgrade available on my account--I bought the SKII when it originally came out, and I have had it since (the very same SKII might I add, never had to replace..) ANYWHO! I have been checking the upgrades section almost everyday and I even called the customer support to ask them what was available in PDAs. They kept telling me that the SKII is no longer available (girl just said they were on backorder, BS) but that the mister cartoon SKII was still available for me to upgrade. Well, as of this morning, it is officially off their upgrade list.
I want the SK3 so bad--I love my SKII, but it just seems like its time for an upgrade. And now after seeing the SKII disappearing more and more it HAS to be coming soon.
The way she is holding the sk3 in her hand looks kinda fake.... I duno
wow this is good stuff.this goes back to when the s3 would be preloaded with music from beyonce and pussy cat dolls and that seems like its going to be true.
im second and i cant wait for the sk3 cause i broke my sk2 the other day and i am just going to wait it out but this samsung crap just aint cuttin it

Hmm....well beyonce isn't my favorite singer but I guess the ultimate descsion in downloading her music is miine.
Hey I was wondering if you could look into these things:
1. Will it cost extra money just to have the "hiptunes" service or will it come with the data plan like the sk2? I understand it might be a dollar a song but will it cost exta money just to have the service?
2. Does the square to the left light up different colors like the sk2?
3.if I am a tmo customer and I have a sk2 and the sk3 comes out tommorow, can I just simply put my sim card in the sk3 or do I have to wait till my contract expires? I don't want to change the line just phones. Is that possible?

Again, unless T-Mobile's branding department is smoking crack, I have to call shenanigans. Let me say that this is a very pretty display, with a lot of good design work. The creator is quite talented. Now to mercilessly rip his effort to shreds, like any good corporate branding department would. :D
First of all, if this is IN a T-Mobile store, then why have a T-Mobile logo be the most prominent feature? I think HipTunes would be far more important. If it's outside a T-Mobile store, then the light-gray text is far too light, since lighting can't be controlled, and too small to be useful to a passer-by.
Second, the "get hip. be hip." slogan only makes sense if you know the Sidekick is also called the Hiptop everywhere but T-Mobile. They wouldn't base their marketing on a trademark used by everyone but themselves. Without that "Hiptop" link, it's a stupid tagline.
And lets look at the placement of that tagline... it looks OK, except that it's WAY too close to the main branding. Big companies are very careful to maintain spacing around their logotypes. Even the butterfly wing encroaching on the logo is pushing it... I doubt they'd do that when moving it down a bit wouldn't impact the overall design.
The HipTunes logo itself also seems to fit into the above category of "things that most Sidekick users have never seen or even heard of", unless they have a non-T-Mobile Hiptop, or been to hiptop.com (or looked reeeeal close at the back of their Sidekick screen. It's well designed, for what it's worth, but it's still physically too close to the T-Mobile logo.
Overall, I have to say, nice work. Just not real.

Beyonce's sophomore solo album is dropping in september, so for the sk3 to be preloaded with her next single or tracks from her upcoming album would make a lot of sense! Keep the up the developements bsd!!!

Manager of T Mobile store here in NYC said to me today that it is not coming out until November. Posts on this and other sites first said April, then May, then June. DOES ANYONE KNOW FOR SURE WHEN IT WILL BE AVAILABLE. Thanks.

NOBODY KNOWS...RUMORS SAY THAT THE NEW TRACKBALL ON THE RIGHT IS THE PART THAT WILL LIGHT UP ON THE 3 BUT THE D-PAD (THE "SQUARE TO THE LEFT") MAY LIGHT UP AS WELL...SO MIGHT ALL OF THE BUTTONS, FOR THAT MATTER)

T-MOBILE SIM CARDS AND T-MOBILE PHONES ARE INTERCHANGEABLE, SO YES

NO ONE KNOWS FOR SURE. T-MO REPRESENTATIVES PROBABLY KNOW LESS THAN WE DO. ALSO, THE FACT THAT SALES PEOPLE ARE SAYING IT IS COMMING OUT AROUND NOVEMBER MAKES ME THINK EVEN MORE THAT IT WILL COME OUT SOONER. A SALES REP HAS MORE TO GAIN IN TELLING YOU THAT THE PHONE THAT YOU WANT WONT BE OUT FOR MONTHS AND SELLING YOU (OR TRYING TO) A DIFFERENT ONE THAT IS IN STOCK, RATHER THAN TELLING YOU TO WAIT A FEW WEEKS AND RISK LOSING THE SALE.
AND FOR THE RECORD, NO ONE KNOWS HOW MUCH IT WILL BE EITHER. SK 2'S ARE NOW $250 WITH A CONTRACT. SO I EXPECT THE 3 TO BE *ATLEAST* $300.
ALL OF MY ASNWERES ARE SPECULATION TOO, THOUGH. THE ONLY THING WE ALL KNOW *OFFICIALLY* IS WHAT IS ON THE FCC WEBSITE. WE EXPECT MORE INFO FROM THE FCC ON JUNE 6TH.
I just want it before I but the ps3 but if that's a real pic of the sidekick 3... Then t-mobile got it right, it looks smaller,sleeker and and the desktop of it looks way more organized I hop I can put my sim card from my sk2 into my sk3 because that would be the only setback I wouldn't mind... Black or gray... The sk3 looks nice and that trackball they have for it will be nothing to get use to if you already use your sidekick 24/7 like I do... JUST PLEASE COME OUT IN JUNE PLEEEEEASE lol
Talked to one of those kiosk T-Mo-types this weekend (so consider the source) and he told me that the Sidekick 3 wouldn't be out until December 2006.
Um, yeah. But he had a really nice MDA he could sell me.

umm ok, i was a little too tired to read the whole thing, but in the earlier link to beyonces pic, it seemed to be for another magazine that shes in, or going to be in. If you looked to the laft you saw something that i dont think would be in a tmobile ad. and the sidekick 3 looks to be fake.
