It appears previous email on turning MP3s into ringtones was a hoax
So I just deleted it. I should have known I guess, the person who emailed said she was worked for Random House and RIM, yet used a Yahoo email address. Not sure why I thought her Sidekick 3 info was any good. We don't screen stuff, we just post the interesting stuff. In this case, it was all determined to be a hoax by users, so it's out.

by the way, you cant play mp3's as ringtones.. read the manual..
There is a program out there to turn your mp3's into ringtones. Not sure for which phones it will work, or which cell companies. It's called ringtone maker 2 through circuit city. You can find the website for the product at theringtonemaker.com. Though I can guarantee it won't work for sidekicks, it should work for many other phones.

i plan on getting a sidekick 3 sometime within the next week but with everyone talking about defects and bad battery life and all...should i wait it out until the get it fixed or just go ahead and get one?
To the person decidingto get a sk3, yes u should get one, I have no problems with mine. The phone does a lot, so of course the battery will drain faster than the sk2, you won't regret it. My battery life last me 2 days, with constant use of the mp3, internet, camera and making calls. Go for it, you won't regret it.

Now we're in the "we don't screen it we just post it if it's interesting" mode. I seem to remember the blog owner censoring posts before. Several of mine that were critical of him (although I have also been a supporter) were not even posted.
