Sure I took a little vacation. I was away for a while. Where was I? All I can tell you is I was "off the grid" and out of touch. I am back though and the Sidekick 3 is filtering into the world, most people like it but many are complaining about battery life and like I have said for some time, screen resolution. I have a couple of questions for you, the daily readers of this blog...
1) What should the Sidekick 3 Blog Become?
2) What would be interesting things to cover from here on out?
3) What types of things do you expect to see/read about when you come to the Sidekick 3 Blog?
4) What will make you come to the blog every day after you get your Sidekick 3?

Ok well as far as what the site should have so we can keep coming back, i was thinking, maybe some tips and tricks that not everyone knows about that can be done w/ the sk3.
1) Any new interesting news.
2) Tips on using the sidekick 3.

and i think you should make it like a regular website (no subdomain) and have a sidekick friendly version of ur website.

Honestly I can't see why you and the people that bought it go around preaching it's so great. My friend and i both had Sidekick II's. He upgraded and spent all the money and he's personally told me for the money he spent, he could've bought the PSP and had all the features of a Sidekick III minus MSN messenger.
Psp browsing allows for wireless cable internet, which matches edge if not beating it. It allows you to play Mp3s AND VIDEOS, video playback being the sidekick's lacking. For the same amount of money, you can buy a seperate device that will do everything you WISH the Sidekick III would do, and have a memory stick for storing things.
BSD and anyone else who openly endorses the Sidekick III is a bitter person who hopes that by making enough people foolish, they won't be the only idiots who upgraded to a worthless piece of trash.

can the PSP make phonecalls and do texting? does it have a thumbboard for typing? oh really? hmm...
BSD: some of the suggestions are things that are already being done on hiptop.com, for example troubleshooting, tips/tricks, hardware problems.
I would stay away from that. It seems like you are asking what your blogs should be about between now and when the rumours start going again about the next version.. let me see if I can make some suggestions:
-keep doing what you're doing, cutting edge information about what is going on with sidekick/danger/tmobile, indepth information about danger, how it got started, etc., would be a nice entry.
-what are the products out there that are trying to compete with sk? mda, lg thingy, etc. what are their advantages, and why do they suck? in reality we _need_ these other products and the ones still in the works to innovate and challenge the sk phone. if not, danger could get away with slowing the development of their product into what we all know it could be ; ] (or maybe they are right on track either way ; })
-new things people are doing with there device. tasteful skins, bluetooth, mp3 playing, etc. something cutting edge though.

to the above psp naysayers- no it cant make phone calls or have a keypad, but your sidekick 2 does right? so why waste to upgrade when u can spend less to get everyhting but bluetooth on psp
hey if its too pricey for you it probably doesn't make sense. the 3 is just another step in the sk's evolution. even in evolution there are some steps backwards... like:
first the pros: much faster internet
I can use a bluetooth headset
with a 2gb minisd I can use it as a ipod..
no longer this big brick in my pocket..
cons: it feels like they took something away with the new keyboard, i like the gripping of the sk2, and i think the keys are bigger.. but getting used to the plastic keys.
just doesn't feel as sturdy as the sk2..
when i text on it it creaks!
i am defintely holding onto my sk2 in case I ever have to send in my sk3 for an exchange (cause its a cheap piece of crap!) just kidding ; D
to me.. internet speed and size are the two big reasons I went ahead and got the 3, there ya go.

I think this website should just be about everything sidekick! I love this site and I check it pretty religously for any new info. And this was the site to go to for any sidekick 3 news. I wanna know about acessories for the phone, what's coming out next! I'm especially interested in any over the air updates that we might be getting for our new sidekick 3's. I just love the phone and everything with it. Keep up the good work. And no more vaca's alright? J/k.

I got the sidekick 2 n it was alright n I jus got the sk3 n I think its awesome n a lot smaller but y would u buy a psp that shit is like a brick this phone is hot can't wait till they bring out a 4 ill get it in a heartbeat...

I really enjoyed looking over your last post. Pet peeve #1 - People with a cellphone plastered to their ear while trying to drive. Don't they realize all they have to do is go to www.bluetoothbargains.comcellphone headset get a cellphone headset and make driving alot easier for all of us. Soon laws will require it! Well, keep the great posts coming and I'll be back to check it out.
Using the Sidekick 3. My IMAP.aol.com has suddenly stopped working. Have spent countless hours on tech support w/ both tmobile and aol to no avail.
Current settings are IMAP and imap.aol.com and port 143. I can send from, until the Error validating kicks in and knock me off the system completely. Not receiving any aol emails on the sidekick, altho am receivng my other POP acccounts and on my desktop.
Any thoughts?

I am having the same IMAP problem on the sk2. I am glad I read this blog I thought the problem was with the 2 only. Aol cust service and tmobike cust service are useless. Abyone knows any fixes?????
