Waiting Patiently for the New Sidekick 3 Pics to Surface
When will the new Sidekick 3 pics surface? Will it be a shot of the updated interface? WIll it be a celebrity holding the Sidekick 3 at a Hollywood party? Maybe a Danger insider wants to throw us a bone and will send over a spy shot of the Sidekick 3. As we get closer to the weekend, we are still expecting a new pic to hit. Stay Tuned. A T-Mobile rep informed me yesterday when I called that if your sk2 is still within warranty, that u will most likely get the rebate thingy, and if its not email it'll be a txt message, and if not u could call and see if u can get the rebate 1nce the sk3 comes out

Of course they can make a razr thin SK. They can make the SK microscopic if they wanted. But the roadmap blueprint doesnt say "razr thin" its says "RAZR Sidekick". Danger/Sharp would not use the name of a Motorla copywrighted name in a blueprint (even a blueprint that was not suppposed to be seen by the public) because its illegal to do so and they have company pride.
Why believe this roadmap either way? What do you have to gain from it? It has never proved credible. Whatever is comming out in June (even if it is thinner than papyrus) will have no correlation to the roadmap. Any similarities will be due to chance, Im sure.

well, i have a skII and a 3. Just to note it has III roman numerals and not a "3" on it. I got it from a buddy that works for Tmobile that ALREADY have the skIII in store. The release date is tues 23 of may 06. Anyone else telling you different is a god damn lier.

I have a dumb question for every 1 why isn't there any other phone that has launch parties like the sidekick? I have never heard about the blackberry, razr, or any of the mda's having launch parties.

I spoke to a CSR tonight and while she was waiting for her computer to give her the info she needed, I asked her if she heard anything and she said all they know is the same rumors we hear and she usually doesnt hear about any new devices until about 3 weeks before they comeout which is about the same time we hear about it. Finally a CSR that comes right out and says she knows about as much as we do lol

I'm suprised nobody has mentioned this.. But I'd really like to see the sk3 w/ a timer option for the camera instead of it automatically taking the picture... It would jus be nice to set a timer and place my sk3 down take a 1.3 m.pixel photo w/ your family and friends instead of having to bootleg it or get someone else to do it. Just a thought.. I know its jus a sk3 and not a robot.

well, i have a friend that works for danger and he says the hiptop hasnt been worked on for months. something bout a contract agreement in the works between cingular and danger. he says tmobile is pissed and are trying to block the agreement. So, maybe cingular users will be the only ones able to use the new sk3

On howard forums someone snagged a screenshot of T mobiles main page. Some labeler messed up big time and where it says "Integrated Flash and camera" it was replaced with "Bluetooth and EDGE". Those were contained in the SK3 review and aren't SK2 features. The only way this could have been possible is if the rumors are true and SK2 stocks are being sold out through T Mobile online and they are preparing for a launch this summer.

I have news for you on the T-Mobile Hiptop Sidekick III. We recently received word that publication and publicity materials (i.e. promotional posters, cardboard cutouts) will be shipped to our stores on the 17th of June, and the Hiptop Sidekick III’s will be shipped (prior to delivery clearance) on the 3rd of July. I haven’t contacted our delivery service yet, but I suspect that we will be ordering 200 devices within the month of their release.
July 3rd is the Sidekick III’s official release date, and you have my written consent to publish this information on http://www.hiptop3.com, excluding my REP ID, I don’t want to get fired ;) .
We have currently received documentation on price ranges and new plans offered by Telekom-Mobile, but that information is yet to be confirmed.

I work for T-mobile aswell, on 170 Broadway, New York City.. we have also received information on Promo materials for the SK3. We were told June 4th, not 3rd, but it could vary from State to State.
