Is July 10th The New Sidekick 3 Release Date?
Tons of reports coming in that the official release date for the Sidekick 3 has been pushed back to July 10, apparently this potential launch date is also being telegraphed to T-Mobile reps. While I can't confirm this date 100%, I can confirm that there have been delays and problems in the production of the unit. I don't believe the problem lies with Danger however, I believe the issue is with Sharp and I think there is some kind of production setback on the radio side. T-Mobile told a select group of people they would be making samples of the Sidekick 3 available to them earlier in May, but now they have apparently pushed back the delivery date. yeah a t-mo manager told me the same thing. i know everyone says that dont believe them but he told me july 10th so i guess he knows sumthin.

engadget got it at that date so seems like its looking good. Works out well for me as i get paid round then :)

See my friend from t-mobile did tell me to wait to get a sidekick until the new one is out, and that sidekick II was discontinued, but she said it won't be out until the beginning of september due to bugs they're still working on...
does anyway know if it will be coming out in canada also?
I normally don't post anything because of the majority the information is incorrect. But I can say that you are right about the SidekickIII coming out soon. I saw it in the video today 6/4/06, MTV HIts in the video of Paula DeAnda featuring Baby Bash -- I'm Doin To Much. It was black sidekick they did show much of the ball that was covered by the hand. But you are on point.
WTF! It can't be cuz I looked most of website and it said June 2006. BUT I heard that July 10th is for New SK 3 goes down for SALE! I just know it will coming out on JUNE 2006 then it will goes down for sale on JULY 2006!!!
what about for us cheap people out there. will there be prepaid...i sure hope so cause i dont want to get a plan

~~You can't "push back" a date that never existed. T-Mobile/Danger/Sharp NEVER announced an official release date. All of the dates that you have heard were pure speculation. Therefore this new date (July 10) is not a "push back", its just a new speculation. Even though it is probably the best speculation so far, I wouldn't hold my breath.

Danger/Sharp has asked the FCC for a 45 day confidentiality agreement. This means NO ONE can have/own/use/see/know anything about the SK3 before this confidentiality agreement has expired (except for the bluetooth, 1.3 MP camera and mini SD slot that is on the FCC web site). This agreement expires June 6. Of course a select few of T-Mo/Danger/Sharp employees need to have it, but it can not show up in a video. What you saw is most likey a Mr. Cartoon SK 2 or an entirely different device.

No one knows. It most likely will come in prepaid, if not right away, eventually. Well, "eventually" is a given. When SK2's came out, they were not available right away, but that is because this feature was not an option at all. Will they come out as prepaid right away this time around? Only time will tell.
The video with Paula DeAnda featuring Baby Bash does not feature the Sidekick 3. What is displayed is the Black MR. CARTOON Limited Edition Sidekick II. Just thought I should clarify that for people.
i saw that paula video too i was wondering about that if that was an SK3 but i was at my tmobile store in Cleveland and they said SK2 was discontinued so dont buy one and just wait becaus ethe SK3 is coming real soon but she wasnt aloud to tell me when

first off te paula deanda video is a sidekick ii mr cartoon sp edition.. and i heard july 1th as well from my father who works with t-mobile.. although Ive already recieved minedue to his position as a corporate executive..

just called up my local tmobile store and they said JULY 10TH OR 11TH. but the confirmed the date. they didnt deny anything! so i guess 1 more month to go guys....

no actually u are all wrong the sidekick3 does not come out to september 12, 2006 so be patient sometimes u have to wait to get the good things u want.
I heard July 10th as well. I hope that it's true, but im not holding my breath for it! Thats what most of the T-mobile reps are saying most currently. At least their saying somthing now. Right.
